But, soon enough Olivia must face the consequences of her lies, and in the process discover that sometimes love falls short of redemption

mc_logo_5050I cam across this title The Opportunist by chance. Once I started reading it, I couldn’t put it down till I reached the end. Olivia meets her ex-boyfriend Caleb by chance. To her surprise, he doesn’t recognize her. She discovers he has lost his memory. She pretends she doesn’t know him too. After all, she has lost him before and he was mad at her then when he left her. This time, she decided to take the opportunity and come close to him again. She still loves him and wishes that he won’t remember at all. His fiancee however fights hard for him. Now the too girls have tension between them and each is willing to do everything she can to keep Caleb by her side. But is this all? Well, this romantic suspense novel comes loaded with secrets. Each one has his own secret. And as secrets are revealed, the game will change.

To tell the truth, no matter how you dislike Olivia for her very selfish and careless deeds, you can’t hate her. This is strange, right? Well, I couldn’t hate her. Tarynn Fisher managed to come out with a very complex character filled with ambition, hate, selfishness, beauty, love. Just name it. Olivia is a very appealing character. And Tarryn managed also to keep a fast pace and kept me waiting for more. With so many secrets in this book, I just couldn’t put it down.

I have the second book in this series, which I am gonna read. However, this book can  be read as a standalone.
